IF YOU THINK THAT PUTTING MONEY IN THE COLLECTION BASKET IS ENOUGH,

YOU'RE SADLY MISTAKEN. JESUS' CURRENCY LAYS IN THE SINCERITY OF OUR GIVING AND

THE INTENT BEHIND IT. TITHING 10% IS SOMETHING WE ALL MUST BE MINDFUL OF.

BUT THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN OFFER, TO GOD AND NEIGHBOR IS YOUR TIME.

ESPECIALLY SINCE JESUS KNOWS IT'S SO FLEETING FOR US, AND HE IS THE AUTHOR OF IT.

ASK YOURSELF TODAY..DO I GIVE TO SUBCONSCIOUSLY GLORIFY MYSELF? OR GOD?

DO I GIVE TO CLEAR MY CONSCIENCE?

DO I GIVE OUT OF EXCESS LIKE THE MEN IN THE TEMPLE? OR DO

I GIVE AS SINCERELY AS THE POOR WIDOW IN THE TEMPLE DID?

ALL SHE HAD TO OFFER WAS PENNIES..AND THAT WAS PRICELESS IN THE EYES OF GOD.

REMEMBER WHAT HOLY SCRIPTURE TEACHES US...

‘Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them;

for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 ‘So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you,

as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that

they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their

reward. 3 But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what

your right hand is doing, 4 so that your alms may be done in secret;

and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

MARK 12:41-44

When we give, our charity should leave our neighbor feeling

dignified, invigorated and inspired to do the same.
do nothing to be seen or acknowledged by your fellow man.

expecting nothing in return, and your soul will then

truly get the gifts God has destined for you.

for our true reward will be in heaven.

In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support

 the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said,
‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
